Now that 2012 is coming to a close, I thought that I would round up the year by making a style sound-off post. The sound-off being about the nails that I had painted for the week of New Years. I stumbled upon this color when looking through my manicurists three big bags of Essie polish bottles. Trying to pick between two colors that were never going to be me finally gave me the incentive to walk around my hole in the sidewalk and pick the adorable blue color that I never had the guts to try out before. Bikini So Teeny literally yelled at me from inside Bag #3 and I couldn’t have been happier. With my skin tone that is somewhat pale but has the undertone of yellow (what most consider olive), I found that this what yet another color that I was glad to pull off. Not only is this color a festive take on a winter blue, but it is eccentric and such eye-candy. What is a great plus is the little shimmer that isn’t visible in the picture but adds such great texture when you where it. My reason for picking this color is to wrap up the year and begin the next one with a theme: take chances, no matter how big or small. Say hi to the person in your yoga class you’ve always wanted to get close to, pick the daring new nail polish color you’ve been dying to try off the counter – do some of things you’ve always wanted to do. You don’t need to change yourself to commit some of your inner desires, but they sure do make great stories.
